One jar of jam, 4 dl
225 g sea buckthorn berries (fresh or frozen)
225 g jam sugar
Do this
1 Put berries and jam sugar in a saucepan and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
2 Mash the berries with a fork, ladle or mashed potatoes
4 If you want, you can strain off the shells - then the amount will be slightly smaller, about 3 dl
5 Pour the sea buckthorn jam into clean jars and seal immediately.
Store the jam in the dark and cool. The opened jar is stored in the refrigerator.
Good to eat with waffles, porridge, ice cream, but also as a jam with or as an accessory to the cheese plate.
Less sweet jam
Take 300 g of berries and 200 g of jam sugar.
Tip!
If you think the jam is too loose, you can add extra pectin.
